Teaching in Tokyo

J was offered an opportunity to teach in Tokyo at Japan's Self Defense Force school.  He taught nursing students who were the equivalent of military academy students in the states.  The lessons were a mix of medical and conversational English. The students were a little shy at first, but it didn't last long.  His favorite part was their answers to, "why they wanted to become nurses". It was truly a memorable experience!
They were very funny...class clown in the back

Seika Art Festival

This event is always a lot of fun for us because C gets so excited to show us what he'd been working on at school! This is the year of the horse so there were a lot of horse crafts and pictures around.
This horse that he drew for this toy/craft was pretty awesome!

Our family that he drew before Cookie.

Beginning of the year vs now

This was a piece that the Kindergarten class made
Granny and the boys!

The school was cold so we stayed bundled up!
